125th AGM SHOWS CLUB IN GOOD SHAPE

The 125th Annual General Meeting of the Petone Rugby Club Inc. held on Monday 23rd November with a good number attending, representing a good cross section of club members.

All positions up for election were filled unchallenged with the general mood of the meeting very positive indeed.

The office holders for the very important 125th Season are:

Secretary: Jenny Gray
Treasurer/ Dep. Chairman: Malcolm Larsen
Club Captain: Glen Tapara

Plus two from Junior Section.
Membership Secretary: John (Zinny) McCormick
Hon Auditor: Tom Greally

New Patron Roy Hewson is a former Jubilee Cup winning player and Administrator. Roy’s son’s Allan and Kevin were prominent Petone players in the 70and 80’s.

New committee member Paul Hendry has a back ground in Economics and Finance which along with his 20plus years of Rugby Coaching and Administration will make him an excellent addition to the Club Executive.
Paul is a first cousin of the late Ken Gray and father of promising young Prop Ben Hendry who played Senior Firsts last season.
