Adrian out with leg injury

Promising Prop Adrian Barone has suffered a stress fracture of his leg and will miss most of the Swindale Shield round.

Adrian a fringe member of the Lions squad last season and was loaned to Manawatu when that union had a propping crisis. He is very highly rated in Wellington and has also represented New Zealand at age group level.

Whilst Adrian will be missed the depth of Prop at the club is strong with Thomas Tupuivao, Eric Nanai and Tyral Vigne all training hard over the summer while outstanding youngster Michael Kainga is bigger and stronger than last season, behind them are plenty of other players pushing this group hard for the prized one and three jersey’s.
